On Tuesday, 10th December 2024, Ikoyi Club 1938 once again demonstrated its commitment to youth development by donating the sum of One Million Five Hundred Thousand Naira to Ireti Primary School, Ikoyi. The funds were used to enhance the school’s Annual Inter-Athletics Competition and promote sports development. This generous contribution enabled the purchase of a brand-new table tennis board, footballs, basketballs, tracksuits, a set of trophies, food and drinks for the event.

Representatives of the Club, Mr. Ojo Olumuyiwa and Mrs. Eniola Bassey (the Public Relations Officer), were present during the event.

The Head Teacher, staff, and students of Ireti Primary School expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Ikoyi Club 1938 for its generosity. The Head Teacher emphasized how the donation not only made the competition memorable but also fostered a great sense of teamwork among the students. With access to quality sports equipment, the students will be more motivated to participate in physical activities, enhancing their fitness, building self-confidence, and nurturing their athletic potential.
